My Return Flight from Vegas.

After 5 days of Gambling and overeating, it was time to fly home. The taxi to T3 was a mad ride with the driver on the phone all the way shouting Polish to someone. We arrived at T3- I got a feeling the location of the terminal is further away from the strip than the old T2.

The Termainal is bright and rather Clinical, the Virgin Check in desks are clearly signposted though and thre was nobody at check in. We went straight to the bag drop and check in took a matter of seconds.

As I have had a fwx X rays and Scans this year I feel I have had my does of radiation for a while so I decided to opt out of the fully body scaner they now force you through at Vegas. This caused a big fuss with the TSA with many shouts of "male opt out" and being told fist to stand in one place then another. Then there was a TSA shift change which caused more confustion, all the while I was holding up the line and I could feel 100 pair of eyes staring at me, it was not that many but it would have been more sensable to continue with other passengers rather than let me hold up the line. Eventually they sorted themslves and I got the full pat down and was through!

The airside at T3 is a bit disappointing, apart from being bigger and brighter than the old T2 there is not much there, one small bar a take away stand a small shop and small duty free, not much different than the old terminal really.

Our flight was called on time and we had seats in the bubble again, this time the old config so the old PE seats.
When I sat down it was obivous just how old and worn they had become. the back of the seat in front of me was covered in white stains, as if Yogurt had been spilt on it. The black casing that holds the TV was missing and so the inside of the seat was exposed, it felt grubby and the seat was worn. I know they are getting replaced but there is no excuse for the state this seat was is, Very disappointing v(

The PE meal looked nice for normal passengers, except somehow I was down as a Kosher meal again not sure how this happens, but its the 3rd time I have got Kosher meals, it was really bad this time I left most of it.

Tee flight was mostly unventful apart from some serious turbulance that caused the crew to be seated and the flight deck to applogise as we flew through a storm, they expected us to miss it.

Woke to a Kosher Breakast of warm pancakes a muffin fruit cokctail and a Tea. Normal meal was just a cooked breakfast so I won on that one.

We landed on time and were quickly off plance, short wait for bags and a discussion with customs as I had 400 lambert on me- err there are 2 of us! and we were off to find the car for the 3 hr drive home!

Thanks for the TR y) y)

It is a shame when the return flight home is a little jaded n( For me, I will always hold fond memories of the Bubble, but fully accept the time has now come to bring in the new - especially when the seat condition is how you encountered v(

Not a very premium flight, and I would write and complain about the meal mix up.

I'm a bit confused by the Kosher meal.

AFAIK, special meals can only be booked as part of the inital booking, through MMB or by calling. There is nothing in you personal details that dictate whether you are a special meal or not.

Are you sure someone's not have a proivate laugh at your expense by booking you a kosher meal?

Just noticed I got the title wrong. Should be las to lgw sorry!

Am not sure what is going on with the kosher meal. The first time it happened I put it down to me doing it on accident in manage my booking. Its now happened 4times. Well 3 as once they forgot to load the meal I did not order and got an apology off the CSD lol.

In economy the meal is actually nicer than the standard meal. The PE one was really bad though.

Maybe once your In the system as kosher your always kosher I don't know !

that is bizarre about the meal - what does it say in manage my booking before you travel? Does it list a special meal request?

I do know that on BA it keeps your special meals without having to be put in, as on one of my flights someone in club was given their special requested "fruit platter meal". On this flight he wanted a normal meal as he was feeling hungrier, although the CSD pointed out that there he could have something else only after all the other passengers had been served. He wasn't happy that he had to wait....only appropriate otherwise someone else would have been left without anything!

Daughter and myself registered for food not containing fish or seafood due to our allergies
on both flights we received menus, great no salmon pasta, choices of sausage or chicken on way out and beef stew or chicken curry on way home
on both flight hostess arrived with meals espically for us?????? so we lost choice
whats that about? ?|

I think you're saying that you registered you fish allergy, but didn't get to choose anything from the normal menu despite being able to eat the sausages and chicken?

If that's the case, you would have been put down as a special meal. Once ordered, there is one less of the normal meals loaded.
