Anyone heard anything about an exciting announcement regarding Virgin and the UK to be made beginning of September.

I was given some interesting info, put two and two together and have come up with some very interesting theory's.

Not heard anything, but we are always willing to speculate and comment on the speculation of others.

Give us a clue, David.

New routes?
Another will they? won't they? alliance saga?
Binning the YQ surcharge?
Increasing MAN services?

Plus any number of other possibilities that we could mull over 8D y)

If they lose the Virgin rail franchise they will offer domestic travel by hot air balloon which will also act as a feeder for VS.

Now I've heard a load of Virgin rumours at GLA. The main ones:

1) Virgin base within the next 18months/2 years. VS cabin crew (yes, I know: Galley FM! v( 8D ) and other well connected folk have said the same.

2) GLA expansion. VS applied for a Friday MCO slot for S13 to operate GLA-MCO 3x weekly.

3) Cancun: rumoured to be operated from both MAN & GLA next summer.

4) An article in a Scottish Sunday newspaper (albeit a total, complete rag! :P ;) ) stating that VS have invited Scottish MPs to a meeting next week, to discuss "Scottish expansion plans". Now that could be the much rumoured EDI-LHR (don't think so, IMHO) route or it could well be some GLA expansion.

Just my thoughts and findings ;) |:)

An "all new" A330 fleet with reduced footprint upper class suites so you don't get lost in them, a universal gormet offering of mushroom stroganov with a mushroom mash, cherry tomatoes with gravy followed by deserts, cheese and biscuits served to you from a specially designed trolly that doesn't quite fit between the suites/seats as no-one tought to actually try before mandating them on each and every flight.

A further improvement will be cleaner bathrooms as everyone will need to use a single facility positioned near the middle of the plane for your convenience.

There will no longer be that awful dilemma of whether you'll get upper deck PE seats any more, as there isn't an upstairs.

Plus, you'll have our company for longer on each flight, as these planes are slower.

Just some of the exciting new inovations being offered to you by our once great airline!

Ha ha ha ha ha :D :o) ^) ^) Concorde that was brilliant and really made me chuckle. Only thing you missed was a community pen availale on the end of a string attached to the bar in upper class..

You should write the VS press releases y)
