LHR SSCI Machines

Asked this question in another thread but the thread 'died' before it got answered so ill give it another shot!

Do the self serve check in machines at LHR spit out proper boarding cards or the thermo paper type like the BA ones at T5 do? Always like to have a proper card as a souvenir!

And if i have to go and see an actual person, whats the economy line like at T3 at around 07:00? All the memories i have of the economy line are that it takes ages! Although the last time i used it was before OLCI was invented.

At 7am it's pretty quiet - it starts getting busy about 8-9am.

In January when i flet to NYC checkin was quite auiet at 7am.
i cant remember if the machines printed a proper card though i think they might have. ?|
