No as the VS 43 does not do daily round trips between LGW & LAS. The 43 is normally fed by flights coming back from other destinations

I was in LGW today for my flight back to Cork and noticed that the flights to Havana, Las Vegas and one of the Orlando flights were all delayed, no doubt as a knock-on effect from tropical storm Isaac

To be fair it's only 3 or 4 people and in their position I'd be somewhat frustrated and cynical as well. At the very least VS could offer a bit more on their website than just an automated "your flight is delayed, keep checking for flight info" message.

I find BA tend to be better at keeping their website up to date when there are problems. To their credit VS are excellent at responding on Twitter in real-time - in fact their social media team deserve a medal for keeping their cool with some of the whingers on there.

But they're only there from 9-5 weekdays. If it's a weekend or bank holiday, forget it. For a 24/7 airline, that's poor in this day and age.

View/change seats is now available if you are in PE. It's a non-refit aircraft.

I agree with a lot of points but on the other hand did these people use OLCI and fill in the mobile number options?? I have always got a txt msg updates from VS on flights via this option

Lots of travel agents tend to include their own contact numbers rather than those of their passengers so a lot of passengers booked through a third party (that haven't actually managed their booking online, or updated their details) may not have been contacted.
