Morning all,

Just done a load check on flightstats for both the vs93 on 11th Sept and the return vs94 on the 25th.

Both flight are showing as very full, no uppper available on either and only 7 in ec. Surprised that this flight outside the school holidays would be so full. Is this real time info or just vs holding back until closer to the day ?

Just seems very full, we will need to ensure we are ready at olci !

Hi Fatcat

You will be surprised at the number of families and children on flights in early September just after the school holidays have finished

Fully understandable with the difference in price, compounded by the fact this year, many occupations have been prevented from going on holiday during London 2012

So in answer to your question, the flight is full and it is not VS holding back seats

CUN is proving to be a very good run for VS, I wouldn't be surprised to see an increase in frequency.

Sounds like it !

The hotel we have booked through VH is also showing as full. I guess a lot of the traffic on this route is generated through VH, so VH must be pricing the deals at the right level, which is clearly working for both VS and VH.

Mid-September is also a peak time for those 'sans infant' to go away, taking advantage of quieter locations and cheaper prices while still getting summer(ish) weather.

Interestingly enough, upon checking Flightstats today, it's shows as 1 Upper available, but 9's pretty much across the board for all others. Maybe not as full as I first thought :)

Before our kids were of school age, we invariably went away on our main summer hols in early to mid September. And of course there are plenty of others that are prepared to take their kids out of school in that time, on the basis that it's a 'cultural experience' that is equally as valuable as a formal education...

Part of the reason we do it is to avoid the school holiday period, nothing against children ( I have 3 !) but we have a family holiday in school holidays and then an adults only outside of holiday time :-)

I did keep my eyes open for VS93 this morning as it tracked pretty much overhead but unfortuntaly the cloud prevented me seeing her :(

I was also getting a bit complacent around getting a refurb as the last few runs to CUN have been of refurbs, unfortunately broke that sequence with VTOP last week, back to a refurb today, here's hoping..............

I always wonder if september 11 is a quieter day for people flying. When i booked my flight to vancouver for the 11th the agent of Virgin even asked if i was sure i wanted to fly on that day and didn't had a issue with it. And that's not even for a US-bound fliught.

My flight on the 11th to Yvr only shows SIX out of 39 UC seats occupied. Seems like a quiet one unless everyone just awaits Olci .

Might be true, however I can't think of a safer day to fly towards the USA on - you can guarantee there is a heightened security arrangement for that day.............

That's exactly what we're doing, visiting Florida on 24th September! We did a similar thing a few years ago and it was fantastic, many of the big rides at Universal / Busch Gardens had queues of less than 10 minutes, the smaller ones were effectively walk up and get on! :)

On my flight back from YVR only three seats in UC were pre-selected at OLCI. The cabin was somewhere between a half to two thirds full on the flight.

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you do load checks on flights?.
Flying Vs93 on 29th September and would like to know what the load is in each cabin

I've flown on Sept 11th 3 times since that fateful day and can say I've not noticed any difference in either loads or security.
