Had it the other day on my "normal route" and the options were the same as August (and July for that matter!)

The wine list HAS changed though. The Zinfandel (Peachy Canyon) is gone - which is a REAL shame, but there's a nice Napa Sauvignon Blanc now on there which went well with the chicken option. :)

I'm off again tomorrow, and then back on Tuesday next week - so if it changes, I'll post here. Might even take a photo to save typing ;)

Hmmmm. Really? Stir fry chicken with black bean sauce and jasmine rice, beef thingy with silver onions, and the veggie thing.

Been having that combination since July (we both have)....

It's changed UK-USA - you've been flying to Shanghai too much. :)

Yup - just checked. July 12th had exactly the same menu as now - we both had it on the flight out. Granted, the "stir fried chicken" now lists that it is in black bean sauce, but it was back then too.

Tinkerbelle, did the wine change for September? The Greek red seems to have gone. :) The menus from VS3 last week had just 'September 2012' printed in the small print at the bottom, but from what I can work out the food options were unchanged.

Has the system changed from the old 'seasonal' menu rotations?

:D I did -- sorry, I didn't express myself clearly.

OK, so for US routes the food changed in August and the wine in September. Is this a new system? I thought that in the past the menus had a season printed at the bottom and that the wine changes at the same time? Maybe I'm misremembering.

I am going to LA on the 3rd October. Was hoping the beef and caramel pud would still be on, unfortunately i don't really drink only the occasional white wine and baileys :)

Wow -- the salmon, the chicken, and the puddings are the same as the ones offered in April, unless my memory fails me! :0

Had the shiraz viognier last Thursday 6th Sept with the slow cooked beef, both good.

Starter was the cured salmon (think I had this before?), again good, with the Languedoc, which OK.

On my own experiences this year things are definitely better since they changed the service a few months ago.

The key seems to be that they're moving to food that reheats well.

It was the other half's daughter's first time on VS. She loved the LHR Clubhouse, complaining only that she didn't have enough time there, despite us arriving 3 1/2 hours before the flight and using the super fast Wing entrance. I concur.

However, overall, she has decided she prefers BA F though. Sigh.
