Following on from my earlier post I've brought both the outbound & return PE menus into one thread:-

Outbound, as served on VS9 on 3rd September:-

Starter
Smoked salmon with creme fraich and rocket leaves

Main Course

Lasagne al forno
with Bolognese and Mornay sauce, mozzarella chese and sauteed mushrooms

Diced Chicken breast
with creamy mushroom and red pepper sauce, broccoli mashed potatoes and carrots

Thai green vegetable curry
with Sticky rice

Choice of bread rolls

Desert
Chewy Belgian chocolate cake


High Tea
Mixed cheese and red onion finger sandwiches on white bread
Great British Cupcake

Tea or Coffee

There was also the ice cream round of Vanilla or Strawberry, though this time were slighly less frozen than usual so no ice picks needed to crack them open


On the return on VS2 on Fri 7th :-

Starter
Balmoral Smoked Salmon with cucumber, lemon and creme fraiche salad

Main Course
Braised beef and leek stew
with herb dumplings

Stir-friend chicken
with chilli pepper sauce

Penne pasta
with roasted tomato, butternut squash and Alfredo sauce with
toasted crumb

Bread - your choice of oven-baked bread rolls

Dessert
Strawbery and rhubarb crumble tart

Toast your Journey
Treat yourself and your companion to a quarter bottle of
Lanson Black Label Champagne Just £10 from one of our Crew

Rise & Shine
Scrambled Eggs with bacon

Caramelised onion and ricotta frittata

Served with Tea or Coffee




Despite the mention just of scrambled eggs & bacon the normal full English was served.

Nothing I absolutely hate so looking forward (well perhaps that's over egging the pudding a bit :| ) to experiencing these gourmet delights later this month ^)

The stir-friend chicken on the return flight sounds interesting :D

I'm quite surprised that the starter would be salmon on both legs. But that pales into insignificance compared with the fact that no mushrooms are mentioned on the return menu at all!!

That said of course, there's plenty of opportunity for the little blighters to make their way into any of those dishes... not to mention 'mushroom focaccia' for the bread option...

Why the Pasta AND the chicken with mushrooms. I thought it wasnt something most people like and then to put it in 2 meals that most people choose (pasta/chicken) isnt really cool :(

Must admit, I've not been able to find one either, tried using different search engines as well as trawling through the VS website :?
