...is new, working, brilliant. Food is delicious, the Virgin Readhed sublime. The staff are all charming and Robert* the clubhouse manager is a most excellent host.

He told me all about his campaign to get it sorted. Apparently 3 new routers went in last week and they upgraded the line speed.

The chef popped by for a chat too - and interested to hear how the food was.

Great news all round. :D

Nice - and about bloody time!

Robert is a star in there - I made a point of it on the FB page a couple months back when he came by to check if everyone was OK. Helped the catering guys with dishes, a real "hands-on" manager. For me, he's going to make a great thing of that place I'm sure. :)

And he has a snappy line in braces ... yes he is making himself and doing a great job I was there on his first day, and have seen him a couple of times since.

Apparently the technical guy who sorted out SFO Wi-Fi is now/soon in HKG, so it looks like all the clubhouses may get sorted.

Robert was telling me that he had a British lady in a while back who travelled widely and was senior in the UK Government Department of Education and she said something along the lines of: "I expect trouble like this in sub-Saharan Africa, but not in San Francisco". :)

In other SFO news:
The journey through security was so fast I almost felt rushed! :D
They have introduced a second priority lane to the left hand side of the main flow. The old one on the right always used to get so choked when all the UC passengers came out of the clubhouse, that I have sometimes used the standard channel and found it faster. Even the TSA staff seemed helpful and cheery. I’m not sure I know what’s going on! ?|

Also worth noting for Economy and PE pax (Au) using the SFO clubhouse is that if you have checked in on line and printed your boarding pass, the clubhouse will stamp it with “Priority” (or issue a traditional card BP and do the same) so you get to use the priority lane.
