Celeb spotting on board!

Used to see Jonathan Ross and family quite often a few years back, but haven't seen any celebs or to be more precise haven't noticed any celebs lately.

TBH, probably wouldn't notice them even if they were sitting next to me. Not the best at that sort of thing

Mine are all minor

Tara Palmer - Tompkinson being escorted onto a VS 747 to LAX in 2005 - but frankly I was more distracted by seeing the bar as we filed past towards the EC mini cabin.

Joe McElderry on a BA Domestic back up to LHR - very nice guy he was too. He and his mum who were sat near to us were very understanding about one of our boys who was having a major meltdown throughout most of the journey (yes I admit it - he was a nightmare!) and lately Robson Green sat right in front of me going down to LHR. Actually much nicer looking in the flesh than on TV. He was on his way somewhere as he picked up his (largeish) load of luggage at T5.

Spotted Benedict Cumberbatch in the Clubhouse this Saturday (13/09) - really great guy, said hello and was very happy to chat - appeared to be on the LAX flight - not a surprise there.

Two years ago, Simon Pegg was on the flight back from LAX to LHR and I have to say he was a complete diva. n( Expected extra special service and kept walking up and down the cabin as if to say do you know who I am - a very sad affair. However, very funny when he tripped over walking up the cabin aisle ):

Same here. Over the years the count is low;

- Mark Gatiss, partner and parents just after The League of Gentlemen finished, flying economy across the aisle from us back from JFK. Now he would be interesting to talk with...

- Gabrielle on a flight back from Antigua

- a grumpy looking Glenn Tilbrook at the baggage carousel (how appropriate...) after the same flight..

Fat guy out of the Real Hustle BBC 3? VS43 to Vegas couple weeks ago. In economy. Didn't seem too happy. Spoke to him when he walked by for toilet. Conversation concluded with him walking off why I was still talking to him and answered the question "what are you doing in Vegas?" with "Yeh" lol

Clearly wasn't listening, guess I must be that annoying lol

Couple yrs ago en-route to bgi I saw Simon and Yasmin Le Bon at the Gatwick Virgin clubhouse. Sadly they were not on my flight, think they were heading to Vegas. Must say Mr Le Bon was almost unrecognisable, looked more like a backpacker looking for a place to lay his scruffy head.

Robert de Niro in the clubhouse, escorted in front of me to a table and order taken Whilst us mere mortals just waited for a table, at the time I didn't know who he was, just a look of familiarity, so I took a sneaky pic and facebooked it... Got a swift reply which answered why we had been kept waiting and the waiters had dropped everything to serve him.

His late LA flight was delayed and he didn't seem to bat an eyelid, although at the time it made me feel better, after making us wait while his order was taken.

This got me remembering a few flights from the past
In the old UC cabin I remember Jane Seymour sitting alongside me
I've had Richard Blackwood(who?) an old MTV/rapper I believe
Paula abdul, Janet Jackson all on the LA route
And robbie Williams and his mate Jonathan wilkes up in the bubble en route to Vegas
On arrival into shanghai on Friday there were hundreds of Chinese teenagers waiting for someone,as baggage was empty I wondered if it was someone on the VS flight
Oh just remembered frank Bruno after being knocked out by Tyson also from LA

I remember my dad flying UC and having david Jason on his flight
He left him alone all flight but once landed thought he'd say hello whilst waiting to get off however David virtually put a disguise on and gave my dad a finger to the lips Salute lol

Flying VS frequently for almost 20 years, mostly UC, and never seen one. Never been on the MCO/LAX route though, which is where most sightings seem to occur.

the killers in the clubhouse at lgw.the mrs had to tell me who they were but they posed for a quick photo with the wife who was well pleased.on the flight to las they crashed straight away not even a beer.
tim henman on way to las for atp tennis,slept most of way.
jim watt ex boxer again to las,smashing guy and told some good stories.

Sat next to Will.i.am on a flight to LAX earlier this year.....he slept all the way and on the same flight two suites down was Bradley Walsh...

Saw him in the clubhouse last year, and at final call for my Boston flight, as he was walking passed the bar/spa area, I intercepted him from the other way and plucked up the courage to ask for a photo.

He took it with my iPhone at arms length of the two of us (I wish I'd shaved that morning, as it's not my best side), but then he took one look at the photo and said he didn't like it as he wasn't smiling enough, so he took another one! oo)

I was sending the photo to everyone I could, and posting it on Facebook, as I rushed all the way to the gate. So much so, that when I wandered to the front of the Priority lane, and there was a beep when they scanned my boarding pass, I thought my luck couldn't get any better...an upgrade too? y) y) ....nope...they looked me in the eye and told me I could not board the flight! ?|

Turns out, in my enthusiasm to share photos of my new friend Mr I.Am, I wandered straight to the wrong gate and was trying to get on the Shanghai flight!

A case of Won't.I.Am !! :w
