Hi, first post but long time lurker picking up tips etc. I'm a mover in the RAF and prior to deployment in early summer my wife and I are travelling to Miami in February, out in UC and return in PE.

I can't seem to figure out which are the best seats on a 346 for a couple travelling together. Hope someone can help.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi and welcome.

I think most in here would say two of 2-5k or 11-15A. These seats face the wall so offer more privacy and as the are one behind the other offer the easiest way of communicating, which isn't perfect in any of the seats due to the pod-like design.
Have a great flight.

Welcome to v-flyer :) .
There are a load of threads on this but my favourites on the 346 (and I'm in good company here) are 3 and 4 K (followed by 4 and 5K) when travelling with another :) .

My wife and I also prefer to sit opposite each other, also favouring 2A+3D and 3A+4D.

I usually sit at my wife's Ottoman for drinks until the meal service begins.

Enjoy your trip.

That's usually the time I go and sit on my wife's Ottoman!

I find the tables a bit too cramped for two to dine at (maybe I just take up too much room).

Dining together is quite cramped and the ottoman is not very comfortable even if you are slim. However, it's fun. :)

To be honest, the UCS is not the best if you want to sit back and be able to chat your other half. It is easier, I find, if they are next to you (the distance across the aisle, if you are both reclined, is quite a lot and you'd have to speak pretty loudly to communicate).

My wife and I are travelling to Las Vegas in Nov and I have selected 6A+K right in the nose of the 747 so I will see how that is for conversing and dining.

Excellent seats. I found them a bit restrictive for dining - banging my left elbow on the partition, which I didn't remember from other UC seats - but a real feeling of it being "your" space.

I'll have to keep my elbows in then, I'm looking forward to the "my space feel" of the front seats.

We had 9 and 10 A, main reason being to face the wall and have more feeling of privacy. I really don't fancy the thought of someone right across from me displaying their feet for 11 hours xx( I don't think UC in general is particularly well set up for travelling couples, however we also dined together and, whilst it wasn't particularly spacious, it was more about the novelty factor for us lol. I suspect my husband wasn't too bothered about not having me chat to him for the best part of 11 hours :?
