Does Virgin Atlantic have a shared lounge at Cancun airport?. I can find nothing for Cancun on their webpage. Priority Pass have lounges at Terminals 2&3 would they possible use one of these?
I'd be interested to know too! I have a priority pass anyway though, I'm just nosey.
VS uses the airport VIP lounge, there's only one lounge in any case (I understand). It's upstairs airside and is OK.
There's a plane at JFK, to fly you back from far away

Cancun airport has two executive lounges next door to one another and next to TGI Fridays. The one furthest away from TGIs is the one used by Priority Pass. Not sure which one VS uses (we did check out of curiosity a week or two ago when last going through CUN but VS was not listed on the door of either of the lounges). We used to get access to the other lounge (the one closest to TGIs) when flying Elite cabin with Mexicana (now gone bust) as we used to travel to CUN via MIA with VS and then Mexicana. We now travel BA and they don't use a lounge (they used to have an agreement with the Priority Pass lounge) but they now give vouchers for TGIs instead but as we have Priority passes we still use the other lounge. Anyway, whichever of the 2 VS use they are both very similar, both are shared lounges and both can get pretty busy in peak times and it can be hard to find seats at times (they both also seem to get used by a lot of cabin crew). Both serve basic alcoholic and soft drinks and sandwiches and crisps etc but fine to while away a short time.
Enjoy Cancun!
Enjoy Cancun!
You can book the lounge through VH in resort. Not sure which one it is, but they offer lounge access for us$30 as opposed to us$27 if you book direct.
Thank you shelly67 for your detailed information.

Thanks Fatcat, if all else fails we have Priority Pass. I hope you are having a great time in Cancun at the moment. Looking foward to going in December, we were last there in 1998!

The "VIP" lounge in Cancun is in my experience not worth the money at all.
For $30 you can stand (due to them selling as many tickets as possible all seats were taken)in a small hot stuffy room and maybe get a drink if there was any, don't hold your breath for any snacks either.
We left the lounge and got a refund when we returned home.
From personal experience go to one of the restaurants and buy yourself some food with the $30 per person. Much nicer and cooler just chilling out in the airport, no issues getting any seats in the departure gate.
