Difference in Upper Class Gatwick- Manchester

Hello everyone, new user joined today.Yeaterday we returned from Barbados.Went out and back upper class from Manchester. Cabin crew were great, however..last year same time went out upper and back from Gatwick. Sorry Manchester, club facilities and plane layout very poor compared to Gatwick, not in same class. in future would not hesitate and travel to Gatwick.

I can see your point about the Escape Lounge vs Gatwick CH, but how did the plane layout differ? Both Manchester and Gatwick use the same fleet, unless one of the LHR aircraft is assigned to the LGW-BGI route, which sometimes happens.

Sounds like you had a jumbo from Heathrow, flying out of Gatwick for your Barbados flight which has a bigger upper class cabin and different IFE to the Gatwick jumbos.

(although now if you get a refitted Gatwick jumbo, they have better IFE than the Heathrow fleet)

Other than that, the only difference between the 2 flights would have been the lack of a clubhouse at Manchester. The planes they normally use out of Gatwick and Manchester are identical.
