VS073 today and operational change

Hello all,

Im on the VS073 today from Manchester and I emailed VS a couple of days ago about a refitted plane and was advised that they had scheduled a refitted plane for this flight.

I have checked the fleet to see which aircraft it is likely to be and it seems only G-VTOP is in Manchester this morning which if im not mistaken is not a refit.

Could this be due to operational change or is it possible for a plane in LGW to fly to MAN?

Whilst its possible a plane could fly up I think it's unlikely and I'd also expect to see it on the status update page by now.

It could be an operational change or its possible you were just given wrong information the other day.

I agree with you that G-VTOP seems to be the only 747 at Manchester today, G-VROM wasn't used yesterday and isn't showing on the status page but was last operated into LGW, so unless she has made hew way up to Manchester sometime in the last 24hrs I'd say it looks like G-VTOP for you today
