Oh wow, haven't come across that for a while.. Last time I checked the program was 'up for review' which I believe is VH speak for discontinued.. ii)

That being said a quick look at the T&Cs say it is only closed to new members... existing members still retain their benefits.

Perhaps they considered the 10% off or the 5% off and free benefits, in addition to the free car upgrades, to people who only occasionally travel a bit of a lost leader.. might have convinced people to meander along to VS FC though. No doubt they are still trying to do the maths...

It does also seem a bit easy to become eligible too, think of the amount of families that travel through Gatwick on their yearly holiday... spend £6000 in 4 years.. for a family of four .. easy. No doubt would dilute the benefits offered some what, and could end up costing VH more than they put in :?

Are you a member?

Been a member here for years. It's basically fizzled away to nothing over the last few years.

There's no real benefit to been a member now away.

That's not true you still get the discounts etc yes you can always get discount. Many of the hotels featured in VH brochure offer extras for FVC members like room upgrade. spa treatments, special dinners little touches to make the holiday a little extra special. I been member for years with a 4000 reg number.wonder what the members numbers are now in 2012.

Me too Lucy, way cheaper doing it yourself. VH charge an awful lot for their flights, the hotels are not too badly priced its when you get down to the flights bit.

VH now regularly offer 10% online discounts to everyone anyway so I see no benefit to the FVC 10% discount anymore.

In all the years I've been a FVC member, I've never once received any kind of resort/room upgrade. The car hire upgrade is a big con too as with having a bigger car means you have to pay more for the insurance anyway!

I used to book multi centre/ tailer made untill this year, but this has not worked for bookings for 2013. So i will see after the new updateing program from Jan 2013 if it will work then. v( not holding my breath. It workes fine with BA so may try their route LGW/TPA and go straight down to Clearwater and Naples for 2013. I do like to book my own routes, its more fun. 8D
