Ive flown a few times in PE and IMHO the new purple seats are sooooo much better than the old red PE. Im thinking of booking PE to Sydney and wondering which seats it would be on that route? Anyone know?

Hi, all a/c flying out of LHR have the purple leather PE seats. In fact only 3 a/c in the whole fleet have the older style cloth PE seats and they are LGW 747's but even those should be changed by the end of the year as part of the refits.

Thank you. I flew to Orlando from man recently and loved the seat. Very wide and IFE was amazing. I think it might be worth the current fare which is £10k for five of us.

I didnt enjoy the old PE on my return leg though (Vegas to Man), seats not nearly so comfy and IFE was terrible.

Love the new PE product.

The IFE (V:Port) on the A340-600's is *not quite* as good as Jam but it's still a very good on-demand system, though not touch screen. It's way way better then the old system on the 744 you got coming back from LAS.

Before Jam was launched V:Port was the top-end IFE system in the VS fleet.

I hope you have a fantastic flight y) . The VS ground crew at Hong Kong are legendary :D

No, everything is controlled from the removable remote control in your seat with V:Port.

Where as Jam can either be controlled by touching the main screen or using the touch screen remote control.

At least it's AVOd though which is great. Although IFE is important, the whole family have their own iPads so not a deal breaker.

The lucious wide seat is though! I've only had a seat that wide before in business class.

working my wa towards enough FC miles for upper :-)
