VS3 LHR-JFK

Hi Fellow V-Flyers,

I happened upon this site quite by accident a couple of months ago and have been addicted since!

I would very much now like to tap into the wealth of knowledge this site can provide by asking for some help please.

We are flying to JFK, VS3 in November so presume we will have an airbus A330-300, I just wondered if any-one knows the seat numbers of the extra legroom seats and exit row seats in economy on these flights? Also if we choose to upgrade to PE at check-in what sort of price would we expect to pay?

As for PE upgrades, it just depends on availability but East Coast Economy to PE upgrades are usually in the region of around £150 per person per flight leg.

Unless you are flying on a Friday you will have an A330 (friday is it's day off!) and they operate the VS3with a A346

Upgrades may also be offered in 'manage your booking' so have a look there and if you like the price then go for it as it may not be there the next time you look or even at the airport.

Mitch, we are flying Thursday so I expect it will be a 330. Thank you so much for the link, I had not found that post before. Is there a similar thread for the exit row seats too?

Tonty we have upgraded to PE for return journey but it is not showing a PE upgrade in MMB for the outbound, maybe because there is not enough availability for the 4 of us?

Yes that is one possibility but it can change depending on how VS revenue management manage the release of seats so its worth doing regular checks

Have a look at the seat-maps for exit row locations here (select A330-300 3 cabin from the list and hit 'get the Seat Map & Ratings')

Looks like there's only 1 exit row in Economy on the 3 cabin A333's (rows 50 seats A, C, H & K)

63 H and K had extra legroom, however you don't have to pay the extra £30 for them.

Which reminds me, i must rate those seats...
