Confused about reward points and tiers on upgrade

I booked a LHR-LAX returning via SFO L ticket which I upgraded to Upper last October, which I flew last month.

I also booked a L to JFK, and upgraded it to Upper and flew that in February this year.

I was silver on both, so 50% bonus.

I finally got to get them to put the points through for the former yesterday, and all was well. Until I checked the points.

JFK: 5187, bonus of 1764, tier points 4, each way.

LAX: 5449, bonus 2725, SFO: 5358, bonus 2679, 3 tier points each way.

Which doesn't seem right:

1) 1764 isn't half of 5187.
2) How many tier points should I get? In case of complaint, I could lose 2 from JFK reward, or gain 2 from the LAX/SFO reward.

I think you got lucky with the JFK flight - 5187 is the one way mileage for a Z/I class fare (150% of miles flown) rather than an L (100%)- the 1764 is correct as it's 50% of the miles that were actually flown - AG and AU bonuses are always worked out that way. Not sure how you managed to get 4 TPs as an L would only qualify for 3, but suggest you don't bring that up in conversation to them!

What you got from LAX/SFO sounds right - 100% miles flown as standard with 50% AG bonus and 3 TPs for each sector. That said, did you not sign up for and get the extra bonus miles and TPs that are currently on offer?

It looks to me like your JFK flight has been posted as a Premium Economy ticket upgraded to UC. You've been given the miles for an S/W fare, plus 4 TPs. This is incorrect. The bonus for AG is correct, though, I think.

You can check this error yourself by looking at your FC account page. It will tell you what class of fare they've awarded the miles and TPs for.

The West Coast flight looks correct to me.

If you flew after 3rd (I think) September you will get 2 bonus TPs for each of those sectors -- if you registered for the offer in time.

Damn I thought that offer meant booked around nowish, I missed a few TP's then...

There is a way to get your extra TPs, I think...
