Seat map opening

Can someone tell me exactly when the seat map opens. It says d-day minus 90 days, but does it mean just after midnight on the 90 days or for example we are on VS15 leaving at 13.00 hrs is it 90 days from then?
I would appreciate some help as it will save me from waiting up till after midnight to request our seats

I would expect 90 days to the hour/minute. However we are dealing with Virgin's IT department here and "social event" and "brewery" are three words that spring to mind. Bless 'em.

I had a text today ( 3.20pm) to say that the seat map had opened up for my flight to HKG in 90 days. Given the flight departs at 9.25pm it caught me a bit off guard as I hadn't expected it to be open until this evening ( it wasn't open earlier on as I'd checked already just in case ): ).
Quick press of a few buttons on my phone and I'm now happily ensconced in 3K ( with Mr DL in 4K) . I'm hoping for a similar thing tomorrow so I can request the same for my onward leg to SYD .
