Is there an easy way of identifying Virgin Atlantic flights where there is availability for passengers wishing to use frequent flyer air miles? My girlfriend is a school teacher and finding 'air miles' flights during school holidays appears almost impossible.

I don't think (though ISTBC) there's any way of saying "what reward seats are available across all VS destinations for the period X".

Don't depair, but you have to be flexible. I'm in the same position as yourself with a partner in education, but have managed to get reward flights in the holidays for 2 out of the last 4 years, mostly by focussing on primarily business routes such as NYC, SFO and LAX, and being flexible about the length of the trip. In the dim and distant past I also had reward flights to the caribbean during the summer holidays.

Sorry for the shameless plug but my site, http://www.rewardseats.com aims to do just that - tell you where you can go for a given set of dates. Hope you find it of some use.
