United have their first 787-8, starting early November it'll be deployed on select domestic routes so they can get their FAA crew certification for Long-Haul ops.

Just booked SFO-IAH outbound on a 767-300 and then back from IAH on the 787-800 for $221, absolute bargain! :)

Ahh can't wait to read the TR from the Dreamliner.. will be a few years before VS get a look in unfortunately.

Cheers, yes, I shall make sure to write a TR.

Amazingly, when I told my girlfriend about it, thinking she'd roll her eyes, she wants to see if she can come with. She's an ER Physician and doesn't have her schedule for December yet, I'm slowly turning her into a plane nerd. :)

My wife called me a Geek the other day when I told her our trip to NYC in December would mean the return flight was on an A330, Ha Ha.
