All IFE being rebranded as VERA

If you take a flight from now on you may notice the seat back magazine and on-screen logos referring to VERA (the magazine is actually now called Vera), this will be the new name of the IFE systems on-board all aircraft.

JAM will become Vera Touch
V:Port will become Vera On-Demand
Odyssey will become Vera Reel

I don't think Vera stands for anything in particular.

Surely odyssey should be rebranded: Verannoying..
Time and money on this exercise.... Neil's right....why?

It could be so that when people complain about having Odyssey. CS can just reply that they have the same IFE to all the rest of the fleet )

Confused the life out of me last night - obviously hadn't seen the post and I thought what's VERA? Soon worked out that it was V-Port.

Main question: who is Vera? And how senior is she at VS? Is Vera now calling the shots as Mr Ridgeway is leaving? Kind of like a HAL 9000..

Similarly on Saturday, and the crew hadn't a clue either.

I'm not sure why VS wastes time and effort on these things, we all know nothing's changed!

Vera is virgin era. It's so all the ife information booklets can be standardised under one umbrella

But we do know the V-Port IFE is being redone so something will change plus vera reel only has a couple of years left.

Vera-Reel will be around as long as those 3 340-300s are in the fleet...

Noticed a bit of the Vera branding on the JAM system a few weeks ago and just figured it was the new name for V.Comedy, V.Documentry etc
