I cannot wait until the Virgin airlines see sense and decide to band together in regards to benefit sharing for FFs. Although I suppose a different set of thresholds will have to be set in order to make the various FF programs sync up :?

It would definitely encourage me to utilise the group airlines more.

At the moment as a VS AU you have the opportunity to get single access to the partner lounges, VA being one of them - although I understand you can buy extra guest passes for the lounges if travelling with others. There is a limit on these depending on how busy the lounge is.

In terms of the baggage, interesting question.. I do know that gold and platinum velocity members are allowed a comp baggage allowance, hopefully VS AU will give you some benefit along these lines..

If no one can answer here, it may be worth a call to the VS AU line to ask them. If they can't help - VA customer service should be able to let you know. I would be interested in the answer to that one too.

Fingers crossed 8D
