VS7/8: 747 or A340 next September?

I recall a recent thread discussing planned aircraft type for the 7/8 next year but for the life of me can't find it! On the VS website I am getting conflicting information for the same date! If I use the 'spend miles' route for a date next Sept the a/c type shows as an A340-300 yet for the same date if I go down the cash route it states 747-400 ?|

It is one of those routes that is served by either the 747 or the Airbus. Won't be set in stone until OLCI opens and even then they may have to change it on the day


Check out the Which Aircraft? section on this site for some guidance - would guess it is about 50/50 though.

IIRC there was an old bug where whatever route/date you chose it always showed A340-300 for 'Spend Miles'. Perhaps it's still present.

I've an interest in this one, going out on the 7 in March and keeps fluctuating between 747 & 346!
