Wasn't there something aaaaaaaages ago (not sure if it was VS) where those born onboard got free flights for life?

I do recall what you are speaking of preifer. I remeber it was a VS flight think it was on the Nairobi route if my mind recalls correctly.

Hope VS play ball on the re-route costs, as likely pregnancy issues are often void in travel insurance...

Similar for BA too. According to AF's website, they only advise people not to travel in the last month of pregnancy - anything before that is open season!

My wife is now 28 weeks and we flew with BA and AF last week - we took a travel letter signed by the midwife (which cost £25!) but weren't asked for it at all at any point.
