Seat Requests

Hi all,

While I suspect this may have been answered elsewhere, struggled to find an answer so thought I would ask.

Due to fly to MCO on VS 027 on Nov. 3rd in PE (first time in PE ), however there seems to be a lack of seats available in the seat request tool despite being offline until about two weeks ago and seats still being available for the flight. So the question is, is it a case of a limited number of seat released for the request tool, a roll out bug not quite squashed yet or a case of everyone somehow beating me to it?

Hi and welcome to V Flyer

It used to be case with seat requests that once the 60% threshold had been reached the system would not allow any more seat requests until on line check opens 24 hours before the flight

This may have happened for your flight as the new 90 day rule came into being at the start of this month and after the long gap I suspect there many folks who jumped in quick

On the other hand, it could be that the VS IT gurus are still tinkering ):

The way I read it was that we are unable to reserve any PE seats for flights that are departing before 6th Jan 2013. If your flight is after that then the 90 day rule applies

Any further help in this would also be welcolmed by me

Thanks. It certainly has come up for our flight as we have a couple of options for the return trip (none are great though). Might have to try and jump in quick at OLCI.
