After 2 weeks in a very hot Nevada and California it was time to head home, our last port of call was San Diego very nice but so large to get around we had done 3 parks in three days so were pretty exhausted especially as it had been free kids all of October (we didn't know when we booked).

We arrived at the car rental return in good time, there was a shuttle waiting who dropped us at the terminal at 2,there was a short queue at the other chech in desks, UC was empty, all went smoothly nice agent who said she had only started there a month ago and off to security.

They took for ages to get through with only one guy trying to sort a queue of hundreds of people from all flights, there is laid back and there is horizontal, you just got to love these guys :w

Once through it was really quiet and found the NZL lounge a lovely calm relaxing area, there were only a few people in there so we had the pick of seats. There was a lovely spread of soup, cooked meats and salad. Expresso machine and delicious chocolate brownies.Internet worked well and settled down to read an English newspaper.By the time the flight was called it was standing room only and the agent escorted to the check in, where Lady Luck was waiting straight through no hassle to the same set of seats we had on the way out 4/5K.

My v-port behaved itself this time and did everything requested of it.Staff were as good as on the way out, tried a sleep suit but decided it was too hot, tried to sleep several times but just as I thought i was going to drop off, it was shake rattle and roll so just watched some more films.Had the chicken with mushrooms but it was rather rich for me :$

The flight seemed to go quite quickly for a long night flight without sleeo and we arrived 10mins early,we arrived after a long walk into an empty immigration hall to be first in the queue, our luggage was first off (this has never happened before) :0
Down to the Hoppa which was also waiting good trip home and two and half hours after landing we were home this must have been an all time record ^)

Now busy planning our next trip to Vancouver for June, will need some help from the v-flyers who have been later on.
Thanks for reading. Linda

Horizontal???? Implying the sheer number of people trying to pass through caused him to collapse!?! Let me guess, everyone just stamped over his lifeless corpse :P and managed to sort themselves out... those line sorters are more than useless some times, but on other occasions are quite handy at keeping the economy lines away from fast track y)

Nice TR, thanks for posting 8D
