Clubhouse guests protocol

I am flying on Saturday and am going to guest another v-flyer into the CH. This is the first time I will have managed to arrange this and I am unsure of how it works.

Do I put the name of the guest down at the door, and then they just arrive whenever they like (but before I've left, obviously)?

Or do you need to hook up outside the CH and then go in together?

When I did it for the first time in the summer at LGW I just left the name and flight details of the guest at the door. It all worked swimmingly.

Likewise I did it for the first time at gatwick this month, just left the details at the front desk and it worked out fine,

they'll ask for the guest's name & what flight they're on, then they will just have to mention they are being guested in by you
