Hi all,
Live and direct from the Clubhouse in Heathrow ...
My first time ever with Virgin (and in UC to top it up!)and I thought I would give you some first impressions ...
First of all, I arrived from Reading on the Railair bus which dropped me in front of the terminal.
Headed to Zone A, bag drop done in minutes, very nice lady explained me everything regarding the fast track etc ...
No queue at security, except that as always I've managed to make the machine beep when I've passed through ... So took a bit a time to be searched but all fine at the end ...
A quick browse in the shops while walking and I was at the lounge entrance about 12 minutes after I arrived in Heathrow ... Simply amazing for me who's used to queue forever for security ...
I was shown around by another very nice lady and decided to head straight to the spa to get a booking for the complimentary massage.
Booked in minutes for 5pm ... I have to admit that I arrived at 2.30 for 9.50 departure ... :D
I'm now taking advantage of the Deli for a late champagne brunch ... I'm in complete heaven !! If the flight is half as good as the Clubhouse, British Airways will have lost me as a long-haul customer for sure when I'm flying for business.
First experience and so far, full marks to VS !!!! y) y) y) y)

Hi Julmops, good to hear you are enjoying the clubhouse, look forward to the trip report, I'm sure the flight will be great also, don't expect too much and just let it flow, the crew are superb and you will be well looked after, don't be afraid to ask for anything you need and make sure you get up and sample the bar it can be a great place socialise, I've never been disapointed and always arrive refreshed and ready to work --- enjoy!

Nothing beats walking into the LHR CH for the first time after the smooth check in and fast track security. You will always remember your first so to speak... mine was old lounge at JFK - I shed a tear when she was closed and always look that way when passing through, silly really I know.. ii)

Be warned though, you will never want to travel any other way ):

Hope you continue to enjoy the CH and that the flight ahead continues the truly awesome VS experience. y) y)

Complimentary back massage was second to none ... God was I tense ! A proper hour-long massage is in order while I'm in India ... After the massage, I went upstairs to the Grey Goose Loft and had the "Le Citron Julep" made long with Prosecco ... God that was good !!
Brunch was so nice that I think I will have wait to be in the plane to eat again ... Now in the business part of the Clubhouse, writing this post, while sipping a lovely Chardonnay ...
If the flight is half as good as the lounge, BA has officially lost me as a customer on long-haul business trips ...
Trip report will follow as soon as I get the chance to write it but as I will be there for 5 weeks, I'm sure I will get the chance to. :P

Wow! You seem to have got more out of your CH experience than I did on my last couple of visits! Well done, you!

I hope the flight is as good. Just relax and let the service flow over you. It's easy to be over-critical when looking out for things to put in a trip report. Sit back and enjoy it the same way you did in the CH - but be sure to visit the bar!

Can't agree more with some of the previous comments. My first time was awesome but then you start to take things for granted!
The CH is one thing that Virgin have got right, full marks to them, just hope that they will not start to devalue it by cutting corners like they are doing everywhere else! v( v( v(
Look forward to reading your trip report.

The first time Wow factor can never be repeated and for you to have such a good time in the Clubhouse means the bar has been set high

Enjoy the rest of your travels
