I just found out on planespotters.net that the former G-VSEA had been scrapped. She was the 3rd A340 built. RIP Plain Sailing, You will be missed

I know it's only an inanimate object, a lump of metal, but for some reason I feel a little sad to learn that VSEA has been scrapped. Looking at my records I see that I flew on "Plain Sailing" three times........

25th May 2000 as VS 24 LAX-LHR in Y (seat 56K)

4th Feb 2002 as VS 7 LHR-LAX in PE (seat 21A)

21st May 2009 as VS 21 LHR-IAD in UC (seat 4K)

It was on this last flight that the photo used as my avatar was taken.

Edit to add....

Further digging through my records reveals that VSEA is tied with VTOP in second place as the aircraft that I've most frequently flown in the VS fleet.

Also, it is one of only two aircraft in the fleet on which I've travelled in all three cabins.

Ahhh, the joys of useless information :P

My mistake - I misread that one! Thought the OP was referring to G-VSKY.
