LAS international Terminal

Morning all
Our trip to Las Vegas is nearly here and we have not used the new terminal yet,
does anyone know if the Taxi lines are as bad as they were in the old terminal or should I pre book a car service, we are travelling in UC so should be off the plane quickly but on a Z fare so no complementary car service.

I can't help you there, but those taxi lines are dreadful aren't they!

What taxi lines? I've been to Vegas 4 times and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a cab. Maybe it's the luck of the Irish:)

I don't remember a long taxi line last time I went, but that was a few years ago.
When I go back in February we are going to book a limo service.

Maybe I just had bad luck but I seem to remember being in line for what seemed like ever, or maybe I'm just confused with arriving in the Domestic terminal with Virgin America.

We went a few weeks ago and walked out of the terminal and there was a small queue for taxi's controlled by staff organising it, it took about 10 seconds to wait for the next taxi to come along. Going home the taxi dropped us right by the curb checkin for Virgin and there was no queue to curb checkin at all.

Never had a problem getting a taxi from the airport for the last 4 years. I have had a few try to long haul me so now I just request a pick up from @HackingVegas if he is on shift.

I guess it depends if you are coming out from economy, there will likely to be a queue. Came out from UC or PE and got a taxi straight away both times in the old terminal...

Actually, I did it once in Economy, and didn't have a problem then... Right away.

I've experienced both long waits and no waits in LAS taxi queues.
Long waits = Friday evening .
No waits = All other times .

Yes, as someone who's stayed 10 days, there is a massive difference between a tuesday in Vegas and a friday...

Hire a limo, not that expensive and nice to have someone waiting on exit for you and taking you straight to your limo and then straight to the hotel and same on return.

Over recent months I have had to travel regularly to terminal 3 to meet friends/family and business colleagues.

Since opening earlier this year there has been a steady migration of airlines to 3 from 1 and 2 but in my experience, although I have not had to use a taxi, the taxi queues have been small with frequent availability as per "rolandrat's" reply. Given your class of travel you should move through immigration and baggage reclaim fairly swiftly.

That said, the arrival of 2 potentially full VS 747s from MAN/LGW on a Thursday and Sunday in close proximity may stretch your wait time a little..........
