Weather warning for the US east coast

Thanks for the support, suggestions etc. The good V-Flyers on here - and the few hardier souls who also inhabit Facebook - have done us proud with some sage advice. We've sorted flights out of Washington DC (from where I now type); Ma and Pa go home on the morrow, and the rest of us on Sunday, so a few days to take in the sights of this great nation's capital.

Despite the resumption of VS flights out of JFK, there was knack-all going in there today, so we flew up here with JetBlue this afternoon instead. Feeling much less stranded and rather enjoying the view of our current neighbour's house (a certain Mr. Obama, I believe...).

Great to hear you are an airport closer to home and the negotiating with VS is all but over. Lots to see and do in Washington including the shops so hope you all enjoy the remainder of the holiday and have safe and enjoyable flights back y)
