Check in was smooth but felt more like a procedure than a pleasant experience then off to the Air NZ lounge for nibbles and drinks.
We boarded on time and had no issues in storing our hand baggage, Senior Cabin Crew came around with a drink and menus, the Captain announced a Tech fault with the Air Con and that we would be pushing back late, no more drinks offered by the Cabin Crew so I buckled up and went to sleep, I woke up as the drink service had started and had a glass of OJ.
For dinner I had the Mushroom stuffed chicken Breast with a couple of glasses of the Shiraz both of which were enjoyable.
The seat itself was a little worn and I could feel the support across the centre of my back, easily remedied by converting it to its bed form, I slept right through the night until just over an hour to LHR I woke up to Coffee and a Bacon Roll and just enough time to change and clean my teeth before approach to LHR. We landed a little early which surprised me due to the late departure (must have been a good tail wind).
We were off the plane quickly and straight through Immigration at T3 IRIS still in use baggage came through quickly and Tristar were waiting for us to emerge from Customs so we were back home by 1430.
