Hi all,

Flying on VS7 tomorrow morning in PE but fancy a little lounge time. Just wondered what people's thoughts on the No 1 Lounge were. I have an O2 code that gets me access for £25 which isn't too bad.

Good/bad experiences?!

Thanks!

I used the no.1 lounge before I flew on the 7 last week. I would say that it is worth it as I had a good breakfast a few drinks and used the wifi, had I have been in the terminal I would have spent arround the same just for the food I had.

For £25 go for it.

Definitely worth it - I used it for the first time in September and was very impressed. I got in on Priority Pass, but would have no hesitation in paying to get in.

I was there at breakfast - lots of choice of cereals, fruits, pastries and drinks - also sausage cobs / bacon cobs and cheese on toast were complimentary.

There was an a la carte menu available for extra money, but I didn't fell the need to sample it.

Not unless you're transferring to another flight out of T3 - it's for departing passengers only.

There was a great point raised about a similar question about LHR Clubhouse.

Would you spend £25 in the airport on refreshments, waiting for a flight?

How much value would you put on being away from the crowds?

For my part, £25 seems like a bargain!

We used the No 1 Lounge before flying to Chicago at the end of September. It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the terminal. There's a good selection of food and drink, decent wi-fi and it's very clean and comfortable.

We deliberately got there early to make use of our three hour slot. :D

Worth every penny!

Not unless you are airside again for an onward flight (as pointed out). I think there is an Air Canada arrivals lounge available for incoming passengers, but perhaps you need a priority pass card - I can't remember off the top of my head.

I've found it has got significantly busier over the past year, I guess lots of parking packages now offer this as an extra and word has got out that it is a decent spot. It is more of a challenge to find someplace to sit at peak times, and if busy (and you paid) you might wonder why you bothereed.

If I'm not in Upper (and that is most of the time sadly) then I always make a beeline for No 1 at T3, thanks to Priority Pass.

My last visit on a Friday evening at the begining of the month was the worst I had seen it. Queue of half a dozen folks to get in and very few available seating places :(
