I can't belive it's almost the end of November and no one else has started the annual champagne offers thread!

So people of all descriptions please post any good offers you know of whether online or in the supermarket and lets save everyone a little cash !

Top post Mr T oo) ...

Waitrose has Bertrand de Bessac at 50% off at the moment, although the Putney Waitrose was out of stock earlier ... there must be better offers out there!

May be of limited interest, but the Wine Society has opened its latest Alfred Gratien vintage (the 2000) at £35 a bottle as opposed to the current 1999 which is at £45 - and is one of my favourites.

Not tried the 2000 yet but understand it was generally a very good year. May get a bottle to try at the weekend.

A fellow Wine Society member y) . 2000 was indeed a good year. I had two bottle of Pol Roger 2000 at The Delaunay last night ... excellent (well, not two to myself :| !).

Anyone tried the Laurent-Perrier Brut NV, currently £27.49 from Waitrose online?

Yeah, I've drank more of my fair share of it.
It's decent enough, I prefer Bolly and even Moet et Chandon though, but there's nothing offensive about LP.

£25 quid here...

According to the Times today, from 5th to 18th December, Waitrose will be selling Bredon, Cuvee Jean Louis, Brut reduced from £29.99 to £14.99.

Not a fizz I know but it gets a good review from Jane MacQuitty, the Times wine critic. y)

Not only a member but I have the good fortune to live a mere few miles away from their showroom (and no, not the one in Montreuil) - always a pleasant way to kill an hour or two on a rainy Saturday, given that there are generally 6 or so wines available for tasting.

Glad to hear that the 2000 is living up to what I'm hearing... Couple of dozen should help see me through the festive period. Ahem...

Lucky person! Mind you I count it a blessing that I don't live to near ... ahem!

Now I must draw out a couple of cases from the reserves for some festive feasting!

Himself pricked up his ears when I mentioned the above! We fully expected the shelves to be empty at Tesco's today - but happily that wasn't the case!

Cheers (hic!) y)

Having put the word out there, they now haven't any left on line! May have to risk a trip into Huntingdon...

I'd assumed it was only an online offer, but himself is not one to pass up the chance of some discounted bubbles. Or discounted bubble seats, come to that :)

Sainsbury have 25% off if you buy 6 bottles on all fizz and wine at present. This applies over the top of any other offer as far as I can tell.

Enjoy!

As do Tesco, and that is definitely on top of any other offer that may be in play. Combined with some soon maturing Clubcard vouchers and another money off voucher, a bargain result. Hic!
