I can certainly recommend getting into the bubble if you can. There is a difference. Although it doesn't feel as if there's much storage - the overhead locker is definitely smaller, there's also storage space next to your seat and the crew have other storage space by the stairs they'll let you use if necessary.
There is more room on these seats if you're next to the window. The main downside is that the view is a little restricted due the windows being lower down than normal. It's certainly quieter upstairs with fewer people around you and it helps make the overall experience become more pleasant. The food was the same as the outbound journey - not good at all.
It's interesting to note that the headphone sockets were standard stereo mini jacks, so you can use your own headphones if you have them with you. The supplied ones are cheap and not very good, even bog standard old iPod ones are much better. I would recommend using your own if possible.
The flight seemed to pass very quickly with no turbulence - the seat belt sign only came on as we were on approach. We had some amazing views over the North Wales coast with snow on the mountains and an incredibly clear view of the entire Llyn peninsula and Anglesey. Final approach was from the south, over Cheshire - I could see where I live, which was nice.
Exiting the plane is very quick from the bubble were off at pretty much the same time as UC. Passport control was fine, but this was amongst the longest wait I've had for baggage - about 40 mins.
