Just settling down to a nice quiet evening before the family arrives for Christmas tomorrow morning and checked my in box and there they were the flights booked to Vancouver 16-30 June 13 have both been cancelled and brought forward a day on both. :0

Thing is like a good little planner i am i had booked all the hotels and car hire just finished it all yesterday. Seven hotels in total thank goodness for Booking.com one phone call and an hour later and we have got it all sorted unless Virgin do the same again, all our flight times have been put back by a few hours as well, just waiting to hear back from the car hire people have sent them an e-mail. Think its time for the Xmas booze to get opened. :P regards linda

What a major hassle v( v( I had an email this evening stating our flight times had moved for our YVR trip in July - thankfully it was only leaving outbound a bit later y)

Well done for sorting it all out ^) ^) oo)

I am surprised to see the A333 replacing an A747 on some days to MIA ?| .

Also very surprised the second SFO VS 41/42 isn't back, I travelled on that a couple of times and it was full. Does that mean YVR is going daily?

Assume the reduction in the St Lucia service is to cater to the increase in CUN.

I see BOS gets the A333, and with BA going x4 daily VS is getting squeezed badly at BOS ... it needs DL feeder traffic.

For those that want, details here and here.

Yes as is on the website, but allegedly VS are yet to confirm the flights with the airports etc.
I do expect it to run, just yet to be 100% confirmed

I just received the following email regarding my parents flight to YVR next summer

"We regret to advise there has been a time change to VS0095 on 11JUN on ref ******. The flight is now departing Heathrow on 11JUN at 1545 arriving YVR at 1740 the next day. Sorry for any inconvenience caused."

I think it must be going the long way round.

I just got the same for my VS020 in April too, we are arriving into SFO at 1215 on the VS7408 from AKL.
Plenty of time in the Clubhouse then y)

Yes seems to be a lot of re-scheduling on the Summer time table almost seems is it worthwhile to book anything so far in advance. As I said we were very lucky with our re-arranging we have to pay a bit more on one of the stops and they only have a family room available, so we had to go with that.

We have also decided to travel down on the day of the flight so no overnight stay in a hotel, more time in the clubhouse as it now departs at 15.30 instead of 13.00. Coming back we now leave VYR at 22.30 instead of 19.20 so we are also travelling from our last destination staraight to the airport. We are also coming back on a Sunday so should make travelling home a lot easier, so apart from the hassle it has all worked out not too bad. Hope everyone else has managed to re-arrange their schedules. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Linda y)

It is completely invidious that any airline can muck people around like this, especially when the same airline would charge high fees if the customer made *the same* change themselves. I know that some people here will say "the T&Cs allow it", but I wonder whether the T&Cs would be judged lawful in a Court? ...
