Reward travel and domestics

I can see that the edinburgh flights are now online and I can get a cash booking through to Miami with no issues. However when I select use miles, I get the miles cannot be used On this route. Same if I select Manchester as the start point.

Anyone know If or when virgin will allow domestic travel with miles? I not it makes avios a far better scheme for me going forward.

It is possible - but I believe you need to call the call centre to book it.

Only the call centre can do these (although I believe you cannot just book a domestic reward flight on it's own, they have to be booked at the same time as the international flight legs so don't book the international flights online first)

Sure I also read somewhere that adding a domestic VS flight onto a VS reward international flight wouldn't increase the miles required either (just pay the extra 90 odd quid tax/fees for the domestic legs)
