I am sorry but even as a diehard VA supporter and defender i find this ad a bit of an insult to my intellegence. Are they really trying to tell me that by cutting back or even removing all the things that made them special and different in the first place they are "Flying in the face of ordinary" then they must think their customers are stupid. I am afriad with every cutback that VA make they are becoming more ordinary than ever, And now with the latest 90 day seat selection debarcle the have dropped below the standard of some other airlines in this area.

If the success of a business was related to the sense it's adverts made, Guniness would have gone bust years ago.

I agree that there is a talking point in the ad but it seems to promise much too much whereas Guinness just do it right - nearly every time- mostly irrelevant to the product save for a promise of foam or froth or a black thing but the ads are eyecatching, appealing and ultimately satisfying in the ' ah thought if was a Guinness ad' sort of way.
Thought the '25' ad was great but this for me is a miss.

Waited a while to comment on this as I was miffed as it was delivered and promised as something special in Latest News.
Have now watched it three times, its very tongue in cheek, funny in parts and well produced, however is just hype and VS need to start delivering a percentage of what they promise

Happy New Year again

My thoughts exactly. The way to be special - not "ordinary" is to .....errr...... be special and not ordinary. It's not to continually and progressively undo anything that sets you apart; to be practically identical to everyone else but then try and convince us by promotion alone.
