Which doesn't explain why immigration clearance is possible in Canada, where the flights and passenger numbers far exceed the UK - perhaps our airport infrastructure plus volume is the key ;) .

I'm struck by the pleas for consistency.

They remind me of something I'd been meaning to post for a while -- consistency in food service. Here's a lovely UC chicken meal on one flight:

And then on another, literally swimming in fat:

Doesn't that just some up the calls for consistency from many of us.......thanks for sharing.

I think VS should stop promoting itself based upon a previous reputation. They aren't market leading in any shape or form now...apart, perhaps, from the advertising!!!

What they do have is a forgiving fan base.

So I think they should get out and discover the best that occurs in every aspect of air travel. And they should find ways to innovate again.

However their place is as a niche airline. They cannot compete with the mammoths of the Middle East. So be THE BEST, not because they used to be but because they are. Be THE BEST and then peeps like me wont have to search for added value to justify the price, we will know it is there.

And THE BEST can be food, consistency,clubhouses..whatever. Make service delivery KEY.

Otherwise the fan base will reduce as it already is (we see that from this forum). And then they, VS, will be gone.

And I will take the job Sir Richard but only on a part time basis as I have travelling to do!!

Agreed y) y) A well stocked pen tray on board to keep everyone happy too.

I would add that they have got to keep their on board offerings clean too, nothing screams "CLEAN ME!!" like pen and lipstick marks on the walls, build up of grime on the shelves in the toilets and the remnants of peoples junk/unused amenity kits from previous flights secreted around the seats ..... please change cleaning companies VS!! Your current ones are useless. n(

Are those mushrooms I see.... :0 :0

Here is another wish .. NO MUSHROOMS!!!!!!!

Also on the subject of wishes I cannot believe that everyone here is content with YQ hiding in the "taxes and surcharges".... so let's close our eyes and wish for YQ to be folded into the base fare cost.... would reduce the cost of "taxes" for mileage redemptions quite significantly now wouldn't it.. ): ):

Yep definitely wishing on the above ii)

Reverse the roll out of the new UC suites on ALL aircraft and have them redesigned...bigger!

Priority Immigration for GC/UC flyers at US airports.

Bring back the freedom menu in UC.

A brand new amenity kit (especially UC) that packs quality and not cheap tat!

Cotton sleep suits.

Wifi on board.

1. Adjust SFO flight times we always arrive in time to use Revivals.
2. Stop gouging for fees on upgrades. At least make them explainable.
3. SFO/NRT or SFO/HND flights. :D
4. Keep DL pax out of the upgrade pool. It's already too crowded in here.
5. Fix the WiFi in the clubhouses (SFO is particularly bad) and add it in-flight. Free for UC pax, of course.
6. Better VS redemption on VX.

I want really nice amenity kits with moisturiser, lipbalm and nice pens. Maybe like the ones with the tailfin at the LHR clubhouse among other things. I also want the Dream Suite to be improved before roll out across the fleet.

I remember when UC was described to me as a cross between J and F. Sadly it's really more of a nicer J. Maybe VS could find a way to get back to that because for shorter flights, I'm almost beginning to think, "Surely, sitting in PE for 6 hours won't kill me"

1. Make a new safety video
2. Make the Mumbai flight a night flight
3. Bring back the A340-600's that were retired a
and 4. Get rid of G-VTOP
That would be my vs wish list for 2013
