Happy birthday vflyer, I remember first discovering you in 2004 when planning a trip to BGI. You have given me the knowledge to be able to travel in PE and UC without breaking the bank.
The travel advice I have received is second to none and I love reading people's TRs even if I have no intention of travelling to their destination :)
Here's to the next 10 , cheers !!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY V-FLYER ^) ^) ^) ^) ^)

Fairly new here myself, not even made it a full year yet :# but was a long time lurker feeding off the info.. thanks to all for making this an awesome hub of knowledge.

Here's to the next 10 years y) y) y) y)

PS @Pete - Will give that photo caption competition a thought or two before I post.. the first things that popped into my brain were a tad inappropriate for a family site :P - Thank you for v-flyer.

Long may the etiquette and knowledge on this site prevail...it really is one of the most welcoming and knowledgeable sites out there...

As for the caption competition - well, those that know me fairly well on here will know why it'll be a challenge for me to participate!!!

However, I might give it a go based on my perception of the picture based on other captions already submitted - get what \I mean?

Thinking hat on...

Congrats, V-Flyer, on 10 glorious years! Almost 9 years since I joined, which makes me feel terribly old.

Okay, my stab at a caption:

Buns can't get enough of that 'new holiday brochure smell'...

And Happy Birthday from me too.

And my caption:

Buns realises that sending last year's holiday snaps, the skinny dipping ones, to Virgin Holidays wasn't such a good idea.

Many Happy Returns from me as well. ^)
Thanks to all for your welcome last year and the instructive and constructive help and information...awesome oo) oo)

My caption:
As much as buns tried, he couldn't convince Virgin Holidays that his brochure "fan dance" was a good marketing idea!

Happy birthday!

Thanks to all managers, moderators and contributors for guidance as how to make flying something to be enjoyed rather than endured and making the site informative and fun.

"Hey, there goes Andy Bundle clutching a bundle of fabulous Virgin Holidays brochures in readiness for a bundle of holiday fun! Bundle it up for him Virgin"

That's my caption - hope I made the deadline!

Thanks tonnes Pete & all mods for VFlyer, my trips and world travels have been influenced big time by the tips & inspiration I've picked up over the last 8 years!

Not good at captions but just to thank all those involved for setting the site up and keeping it running, plus all those good people who add their bits and pieces to make it an excellent, informative and humorous read.

Happy 10th birthday ^)

And drum roll please, the winner of the caption competition (and as it happens, the first entry) is Sealink with the very cheeky "When I said I wanted two Virgins pressed against my Buns, this isn't what I had in mind"

Yes, it appeals to my sense of humour (in the gutter). Well done Sealink. I'll contact you to make arrangements for party night!

More opportunities to win tickets soon...

I add my congratulations to Sealink ^) ^) and to all the other contributors can I say I was extremely flattered with the captions you came up with and at no point was any offence taken :D :D

In the true spirit of V Flyer, it is marvellous that we continue to come together and share experiences and knowledge a reason why I joined in the first place, those 5,000 posts ago :w
