Sadly I'm unable to get VA flights within my business travel policy for my forthcoming trip to the Far East in March.

I've read a number of reports that row A or K is best for a taller person as there is more room to stretch out - apart from row 7.

Any views as to what seat to go for, and what the experience/food/service is like on board?

Many thanks in advance!

If you're travelling alone then my strong recommendation is to go for the A or K seats and also an odd numbered one because these are right by the window for the best views (A / K even number seats are a little further away from the window - however check this as I am doing it from memory). There's good detail in this review.

I like the forward part of the cabin because it is quieter, the downside is that it is a long way from the galley so on occasion I've had cool food by the time it reaches me ... oh the pain! Generally food is OK to good, wines are very good, the bar can be social and lively, and the plane is fantastic. Watch take off and landing from the tail cam on the IFE, it's great!

Robbie

This and this link you to my TRs for my to and fro OZ on EK in September/October. Photos of meals are included.

As Slinky said, the window seats are the place to be (odd numbered 7, 9 and 11, even numbered 14 onwards as there is no row 13). I tend to head for row 16 or so thereby cutting down the distance from the bar....and I only walk there to avoid getting a DVT (COUGH). ):
