Will I get the seats I have booked or will they be changed?

Hi all V-Flyers, quick question for u all, I have booked seats 77abch in the bubble when I booked my ticket, it says on the website that these seats are not guaranteed until I check in! Does that mean I have to check in literally at -24 hours before or is there a time limit? Has anybody ever chosen seats and not got them when they checked in?

I choose seats at 90 days for my UC flight to JFK last Wed, checked regularly that my request was still in system, Yet when checking in 24hrs before found I had been bumped out of seats, I found it very annoying there had been no AC change and whilst I know seating is not guaranteed why should I be bumped out of them for somebody else?

It wasn't a bassinet position and the person who was in my chosen seats on flight wasn't a celeb or anything?!

This is one of those questions that would rank up there with "what's the meaning of life?" As one of those questions to which there is no truly correct answer.

The are seat requests and VS can change at anytime; however you will see that if you check in before T - 13 that provided there are no "operational" reasons you should get your seat requests honoured

I quite agree. Reading BA forums the mystery seat maligners (MSMs) are pretty much in evidence over there too, however it's the one thing that seems to happen time and time again for apparently no reason (or the dreadful reason given to Sarastro recently) ...

Absoutely y) In the end you will be aving a holiday for a lot longer than the flight and there is no sense in something changing on the day of your flight out there and letting that ruin your hoilday
