What is vs 811?

Just looking at who is flying where today and noticed that g-vfab last flight was on the 10 th jan to FRA on vs 811,
Simple question for more experienced V-flyers I know but can someone enlighten me please

Just seen this too, unfortunately I can't answer this but I would also be interested to see why!

FRA (Frankfurt) is where major major checks/maintenance is performed on the 747's - so will be there still having that performed. The flight will have just been a positioning flight with no passengers onboard.

Alright Blacky, as Duggy says it is going to be a maintenance/repositioning run and so travels under a different flight number to avoid any confusion and to identify to ATC and whomever else is interested that it is indeed a maint run that will be predominantly void of pax...

I have always wondered though if they would try to do a cheeky little cargo run at the same time or reposition staff if needsbe
