Hi Everyone,

I recently booked an M class return LHR-DXB with a view to, when calling FC, only really upgrading the outbound with miles to UC. Despite being an M class in both directions, the final booking has ended up being G out and O on the return leg. Anyone any idea why it's still not M on the return so I can upgrade if I decided at the airport if available? It's almost like as I said I was not going to, then the FC customer services guy has fixed the class.

This might explain why the fare ended up being £30 cheaper than the website. Can they book you in an M for instance on the outbound but just an O on the return if I refused the upgrade.

Just curious and know you guys will have the answer.

Thanks!

Flying on Thurs and already nervous about my ABZ-LHR connection due to weather. In the last batch of snow we had I witnessed a lot of BA flights all too easily being cancelled yet Easyjet for instance still managing. What grinds my gears is that if one aircraft can do a route then they all can. Last time was not long after the BA acquisition of BMI and they magically cancelled all the BMI ones yet flew their own. Same route!!! LHR-ABZ Really cheeky. Roll on April the 9th. I cannot wait!!!

What fare code does your original eticket state for each leg? It is possible to book M one way and O the other, but if you paid for M both ways then you should have a word with them.

It sounds like the agent just booked you in to M on your outbound as that was the one leg that had reward seats on. You can still upgrade your return leg to M either now, or even at the airport on the day should reward seats become available for for your return flight.
