Well I sincerely hope they're being reconfigured. BA seats 152 on their A320s, Aer Lingus 174, and Meridiana 180. Even VX sits just 149. So either VS is going for LCC standard or x-fingers there'll be a reconfig.

It might be a Y174 config as it is being wet leased from Aer Lingus

The point I was making is that if VS keeps this layout then it'll be cramped compared to its competition, namely BA, so we either expect LCC standards with fares to boot, or the comparisons will favour BA.

Well, the headline was 2 x VS 320s on their way, and then from Meridiana, so maybe to Aer Lingus and wet leased, but will they be reconfigured to 174 seats or something else, or left, as Mr P eloquently puts it, in sardine format.

Not sure what the layout is for EasyJet A319 but I fly quite regularly now from SEN to JER and I have to say I was worried as had heard bad things but the seating isn't too bad, and I normally fly PE on VA and I have to say all it reminds me of is the VA Economy seats which aint bad and the service is great, here's to a VA future in short haul.
