Hi all,
I was travelling to ALC from LGW last Monday with our lovely friend Easyjet and as I was shuttled to a remote stand somewhere on the airfield noticed two 747s with the old VS livery (ie old VS font ect). With that in mind, am I right in thinking that the LGW fleet refit did not include the new livery?! I was too far away to read the registrations unfortunately.

Am travelling VS to Cancun in Upper in March and so caught my eye.

Chris.

The aircraft only get their new livery/re-paint during a specific cycle. I'm not sure of the exact cycle but I believe it's every 3-5 years or there abouts.

It's a very expensive process so is only done when needed. They do get touch-ups from time to time though.

It's just a shame the branding guys aren't aware of that cycle. Launching a new design every year or two doesn't really work if you only paint the planes every 5.

I mean, surely that would just leave the fleet with a mish-mash of liveries and no common corporate identity out there at all times? Oh, wait...
