I remember in the past, that people could request on here to see how full the plane that they were due to fly out on was?

Ive tried looking through the forum, for a related post, but for the life of me couldnt find it,so thought i would just ask here.

I'm flying from LGW-MCO on Sun 5th May on VS015, and was curious as to how many seats had been sold on it.

Thanks in advance :)

It is really to far in advance to try and gain any real information from a load check so far in advance of your flight. With over 3 months to go, the amount of seats available will change dramatically before the flight, it really is only a few weeks at most when you can start to get a more accurate picture of how busy it is likely to be.
Just as an example, last year we flew to MCO on a Saturday, on the Wednesday the load check was showing 9 in W (PE), and the seat map had loads of unallocated seats. The flight ended up leaving absolutely rammed, with 2 pax who were family of crew having to sit in the jump seats for the whole flight.

How does expertflyer work? I've been trying for the best part of a year to get load figures yet the only way I can gauge it is to set up a seat request.

I've clearly missed something!

You can do a basic load check (like flight stats) to give load numbers that are often requested and provided on here.
