Reciprocal benefits for VS status on VX?

I have lost track of whether or not VX offer benefits to VS silver- or gold-card holders. I had a look on both sites but couldn't find anything. However, I thought it had been discussed recently so wonder whether anyone here has an inside track?

No they don't - I wrote to VS after they announced their status matching for UA and AA travellers to ask if this would be extended to VS, or reciprocality offered. The answer said now and some vague comment about maybe sometime. Not very good.

Thanks slinky. Agree it's not good. I hope the DL deal doesn't make this less likely to happen -- I want to fly VX, but when prices are similar (as they so often are), AA (with BA status) sadly wins.

The only benefit I have found I can get is using the combination of a VX boarding pass, a VS Au card and a healthy dollop of bluff.

I have tried it a few times and when I tell them it is a Virgin America Gold Card (equivalent), they let me through the priority security line.

Got to love the psych victories over the TSA though, now if only they could be turned into something more tangible to replace the losses from damaged cases and locks over the years ii) ii)
