I am on my 90 target MAN - MCO. I can get the seat map up although all the seats at front and back of PE are greyed out . I don't think they can be booked as the map had only just come up.
It will not let me allocate myself seats and says we are still shown in our original seats but there are no original seats unless they have allocated one of the greyed out ones.

I hope I am making sense!!

Could this be because we have booked VH???? do they have a pre allocated block of PE seats???

Possibly a timing issue /IT glitch. Several people (including me) have reported exactly the same symptoms. Leave it an hour or so and try again seems to be the usual cure.

providing you have paid for your holiday you should be able to request your seat,as said could just be a timing issue keep trying

I've just logged in to do my seats at 90 days, the system said 90 days and 5 hrs to,go and although the seat map was there, it wouldn't let me do the seats. I tried 5 minutes later and it worked.

IT gremlins at work me thinks

This is the first time I've flown VS, and my seat map is open (90 days, 8 hrs), but now instead of getting the error message when map was open but not available, when I hit submit it just throws me back to my booking. How can I tell if I was successful in my seat selection (PE)? Do you usually get an acknowledgement of some sort? Thanks!

If it was successful you would be able to see you seats on the MMB page, sometimes the map opens beyond the 90 days but your unable to request your seats

Your seats should open up on the map within the 90 days... So it should appear as 89 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

If your showing 90 days and 5 hours then it's still outside although only by a few hours. Think of it like OLCI you cannot check in until your T-24hrs before departure.

The seat map being in view should be an indication that seat selection for that flight will be available inside 90 days, therefore check back later and you should be able to request the seat you would like as a preference

I hope that helps!

As always things with VA are not as simple as that,I've read posts where people have been able to request seats a few hours over there flight times whilst other people have had to wait to the excat time I would like to see the orignal system where if you booked and paid direct with VA you could request seats straight away
