A very quick one...

Seat Map opened for our VS015 flight on 6th May 3 hours early y) so had a good number of options.

We usually like to sit at the back of the PE sections on the A340s and 744s - prefer not to have anyone behind...

Initially booked 24H&K upstairs, (noticed that all A&C seats plus 20 - 22H&K were all unavailable - presumably this is the Virgin Holidays allocation... v( )

However, we're thinking about 19 A&C downstairs. Nothing behind and looks like we'll be quick off. (All seats in row 14 were unavailable, probably held back for passengers with little ones.)

Back in the day; our fav seats were row 79 or 80 upstairs - bubble and quickly off. Is it the case that getting off swiftly is a thing of the past for PE bubble passengers??

I've read the TRs for these seats, (v useful too), just wondered if anyone else had experience.

My guess is that bubble is a better place to be but downstairs enables quick disembarkation. Swings v Roundabouts.

Cheers,

Craig.

19 A&C is a good choice - you will be amongst the first off.

I noted that the bubble was held back on my last 2 flights, allowing all of PE downstairs and UC to disembark prior to the bubble being released. In my previous experience, they had allowed the bubble to disembark simultaneously.

I did pop upstairs to have a look at it still has a quiet feel to it, although the increased volume of passengers is noticable - especially around the front toilet area.

In my opinion, somewhere in the downstairs PE cabin is the place to be.

i'm flying out the day before on the 5th,and i logged in to reserve my seats an hour after the 90 day window was opened...all PE were greyed out except 3 seats.... 18 h/k and 16 a .....so grabbed 18 h/k as no other choice..all bubble was greyed out too..shocking really, i was only an hour late...goes to show you have to be on the ball and get your seats as soon as they become available.

Still plenty of seats left today too; so my guess is that the 6th is a quieter day, although none left upstairs. There were only 4 seats available from the get-go and I grabbed two of them.

19 A&C gone now though so we'll be in the bubble.
18 H&K still there but they back on to the loo.

Booked Hyatt at MCO for the first night so not in so much of a rush to get off the plane.

I reckon it'll be a more pleasant experience picking the car up at 8am the following morning - that drive from the airport to the villa is always irksome after the flight in from LGW.

A variety of opinions;

Some prefer bubble, others not!!

Looks like it's going to be upstairs - downstairs is being snapped up pretty quickly.

Last time I was in a split cabin bubble, it was UC in the front and PE in the back. And Robbie Williams was in UC with some mates!

Looking forward to a (slightly) new experience.
